The Glorious Qur’an Chapter 2 The Cow (Al-Baqarah) in 286 verses
{151}: Likewise, [fulfilling Our Favour to you,] We sent a Messenger to you from among yourselves to recite Our Signs to you and to purify you, and teach you the Book of Wisdom, and also to teach you what you did not know (before).
{152}: Thus, remember Me, [and My Favour to you] so that I remember you, and express thanks [for the Bounties of Mine] – and do not be ungrateful to Me.
{153}: O you who believe, [when you face a problem,] seek help through patience and prayer, for indeed Allah Glory to Him in the highest is with the patient.
{154}: And do not call ‘DEAD’ those who are killed for the sake of Allah Glory to Him in the highest! Nay, they are all alive, but you cannot perceive it [how they live].
{155}: And We [constantly] test you with [a kind of] fear and hunger, as well as the shortage of wealth and fruits, and [loss of] souls – but (o Prophet) give good news to the patients [in hardship]. {156}: Those (patients) who, when are afflicted with calamity, say: “We belong to Allah Glory to Him in the highest and our return is to Him.” {157}: [Such patients] upon whom settles the Grace and Mercy of Allah Glory to Him in the highest – they are the true-guided ones.
{158}: In fact, Sæfā and Mærwæh, [the two mountains for religious rites, in Mecca,] are symbols from Allah Glory to Him in the highest, so anyone who goes on pilgrimage to the House of Kæ’bæ, or visits it, will not be blamed if he goes round about them. Moreover, anyone who voluntarily does some more good and decent deeds, [let him know that] Allah Glory to Him in the highest is indeed the Knowing Appreciative.
{159}: In fact, those who conceal the clear explanation and guidance [concerning Muhammad and his mission which] We have sent down after We have explained it to mankind in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allah Glory to Him in the highest, and so are cursed by the cursers.
{160}: [But] the exception is those who repent, and reform and reveal [the secret ‘they know about Islam and Muhammad’s prophet-hood’]; I will accept their repentance, for I am the Merciful Remorse-Accepter.
{161}: Indeed those who disbelieved and died while they were disbelievers let the curse of Allah Glory to Him in the highest, and the angels, and all men befall on them. {162}: They shall remain accursed [forever in the Fire] – neither will their torment be lightened, nor will [their punishment] be postponed.
{163}: And your god is Allah Glory to Him in the highest only; there is no deity but Him, the most Merciful Bountiful.
{164}: In fact, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, the contrast between the night and the day, [concerning their length, shortness, and their use]; and the ships which sail the sea with some [goods on] to benefit people, so is the (rain) water that Allah Glory to Him in the highest sends down from the sky to revive the earth after its long death, and to scatter every kind of animal about it – then directing the winds and clouds which are driven along between the sky and the earth: there are amazing lessons [and miracles] for the people who use [their] reasons.
{165}: Yet there are some among the people who take rivals [to worship] instead of Allah Glory to Him in the highest, they adore them in such a way that they should adore Allah Glory to Him in the highest, but those who believe, have the most affection to Him. If only the disbelievers could see – when facing the punishment of (the Resurrection) – that all power belongs to Allah Glory to Him in the highest and Allah Glory to Him in the highest is severe in retribution.
{166}: When, (on the Day of Resurrection), those who were followed disown the followers, and they sight the scourge, their bounds will be cut off from them.
{167}: And [right] then the (beguiled) followers will say: “If only we had another chance to return [to the material world,] then we would disown them as they have disowned us!” Thus, Allah Glory to Him in the highest will present them their deeds, which will be the cause of regrets for them, and they will never get out of the Fire.
{168}: O men, eat of the lawful and pure things on the earth [which are permitted to you,] but do not follow the footsteps of Satan, he is indeed an open enemy to you.
{169}: [by representing evil things into nice,] he commands you to commit sins, evil and disgusting deeds, and makes you say against Allah Glory to Him in the highest whatever you have no knowledge about.
{170}: And when they are told: “Follow what Allah Glory to Him in the highest has sent down, [but not Satan,]” they say: “Never!” We will but just follow what our ancestors were following – but if their ancestors were void of wisdom or were not guided aright, [would they still follow them]?
{171}: And the parable of the faith-rejecters may be compared to one who shouts to an animal that hears nothing but bleats and cries – [they are] deaf, dumb and blind, [and due to their shortage of sense and knowledge,] they can never think about [things].
{172}: O, you who believe, eat of the lawful things that We have provided you with, and be grateful to Allah Glory to Him in the highest, if it is Him that you worship.
{173}: [Remember that] He has only forbidden you [to eat] the flesh of dead animals, and also blood and pork, and anything that has been consecrated to something besides Allah Glory to Him in the highest. However, one who is obliged to do so, without craving and going too far, there will be no sin on him – because Allah Glory to Him in the highest is indeed All-merciful Forgiving.
{174}: In fact, those who conceal [some parts] of what Allah Glory to Him in the highest has sent down in the Book and [then] trade it off for a petty price only sock fire into their bellies. Allah Glory to Him in the highest will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them [through His Grace] – they will have a painful punishment.
{175}: They are the ones who have obtained error at the price of guidance, and punishment at the price of forgiveness. So how daring they are facing the Fire!
